The Company

Founded in 1959, Pacific Air Industries & Air Cert are the aerospace industry’s trusted partners for expendable airplane parts. We help airlines and other air-carriers keep their planes in the air by providing competitive pricing on our >300k parts in inventory and shipping their orders the same day. We achieve this level of service through partnership with our in-house FAA 145-repair shop, Air-Cert. We are seeking an Account Manager at Pacific Air Industries, focused on Asia to expand our client relationships in this region. Since we are based near LAX, have inventory ready to go off the shelf and an excellent 60 year reputation, you will be set up for success in this largely untapped market for us.

The Opportunity

Become the face of our business for all carriers based on the continent of Asia. You will strategically determine sources of new business for Pacific Air, establish contact at target firms, develop relationships with key players and leverage our vast inventory and internal systems to service them. Your actions will drive both revenue and access to new packages of surplus inventory. To accomplish this, you should be able to:

  • Identify and prioritize opportunities with air-carriers

  • Clearly communicate the merits of a high-service distributor like Pacific Air

  • Meticulously listen to the customer, leveraging empathy & communication to help the Pacific Air team continuously improve our understanding of the customer’s perspective

  • Be a relationship builder across continents via phone, email and in person visits

  • Partner with the broader Pacific Air team, including Purchasing and Order Processing

  • Get excited about working in an analytically-focused, meritocratic environment

  • Travel ~25% of the time
