Over forty-six years ago, PACIFIC AIR INDUSTRIES was one of many companies gaining a foothold in the emerging aircraft parts redistribution industry. The commercial airline business was booming and the venerable DC3 (on which PAI is founded) was the workhorse of the industry. As demand grew, Douglas Aircraft Company built new planes such as the DC4, DC6 and DC7 that provided PAI the opportunity to gradually enhance its inventory to support this expanding fleet. Then, in 1965, we accepted a consignment from Douglas Aircraft of its excess DC-3, DC-4, DC-6, DC-7 and DC-8 inventory, giving us the most diversified DACO aircraft support capabilities in the industry.

PACIFIC AIR INDUSTRIES continued its growth into the 1970’s and 80’s. The jet age was truly developing, prompting us to gear our inventory acquisitions to support these new and exciting marvels of aviation. Major consignment and purchase agreements with airlines such Air Canada, SAS, United and Japan Airlines made our inventory one of the largest and most complete in the redistribution business. We also expanded the capabilities of our FAA and JAA-approved Repair Station, Air-Cert,Inc. (ABR4R044), enabling PAI to stock an extensive pool of quality rotable components.

PAI further enhanced its growth during the 1990’s with significant purchases from McDonnell Douglas and several major airlines as well as other third party maintenance facilities. In addition, we began stocking a large inventory of approved vendor accessories purchased directly from the OEM.

The philosophy at PACIFIC AIR INDUSTRIES has always been very simple. We will stay successful by continuing to aggressively keep our inventory current with quality, traceable, documented aircraft parts supported by one of the most experienced staffs of professionals in the industry.

As we continue our fifth decade, PACIFIC AIR INDUSTRIES is recognized around the world as one of the leading sources for structural airframe parts, rotable components and factory new vendor accessory material. We are proud of our past and look forward to the 21st century.
